The politicians should by now know the National income can no longer support the system we are running. With over 600 federal MDAs, Federal and state legislatures, retinue of aides, Executives and their special appointees and the unrepressible fights against insurgencies, debt in trillions may just have been a tip of the iceberg. Today, the labour could not be persuaded to "reason" with the economic situation when the politicians themselves have not been able to lead by example. Their bogus lifestyles and that of their family members are doing much in sending signals to the members of the public that there is that cash somewhere and only they want to spend it. The kind of money you heard a Senator earns monthly embarrassingly dwarf the total emolument of a worker who served the nation for 35 years! Just to sit at a plenary and jaw jaw about issues that most times serve selfish rather than communal interest. Like the Pharaoh's dream, the second several years of plenty had come and there was no Joseph to nick us in time to prepare for this. We ate all the plenty and here are we now groaning. The government can not afford to shut down. The public by political neccessity must sustain its government. The government also must pool the resources together to serve the public. The sense of patriotism is always threatened when the masses feel shortchange on government responsibilities. Unfortunately, both the masses and government have breached the mutuality, people evade taxes, government neglects its duties. And it has today resulted into people pretending to work and government pretending to pay them. We should by now be scared if with these mongous human and material resources we resort to borrowing to sustaining our economy. Buhari is not stealing, it is the system we imbibe that is too expensive for our earning. But it is expected, the maggots which feed on wound never pray for its healing. Those who derived recognition from the failed system would never push for the better change. We keep on groaning under our self imposed burden and yet like a trapped dog, we snarl at any semblance of help. My advice is for the politicians to thread softly.Like my good friend would say, No let your Mumu wise by too overriding him, because once your Mumu wise, nothing can "Mumu " him again.

Nigeria is a failed state already. It is very clear . Yet they believe that they can bring the country back in shape by taxing people here and there.
