The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, joins in the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty movement.

According to the United Nations, the theme for this year's International Day for the Eradication of Poverty movement is “Acting together to empower children, their families, and communities to end poverty”. The  Convention recognizes the right of every child to a standard of living adequate for the child’s physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development.

The Minister via her twitter handle has encouraged Nigerians to join in this movement, she also added that "millions of Nigerians are struggling with poverty" So Nigerians Should full participate in the eradication of poverty from our country,

However, the Minister via her twitter handle has also commended the president's commitment to lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years.
