Ereko Marketers Want More Security In Idumota Unit Over NURTW Unrest


The Ereko marketers in idumota area of lagos State are appealing to the State Government and Idumota Police division to provide adequate security for the community due to recent fight in NURTW which led to four people being injured.


It was gathered that one of the NURTW top member in the State, Agboola Olanrewaju Hakeem, aka OKORO who is the Chairman in Idumota Tom Jones Kosoko and Treasurer Idumota units were attacked by unknown hoodlums days ago.


According to information, Okoro has allegedly fled the town due to these series of attacks on his followers. A source who pleaded anonymity hinted us that on 28th of July 2019 some armed unidentified men who covered their face with mask attacked some of Okoro boys around 8pm in idumota and they were stabbed and rushed to the general hospital were they are still receiving treatments.


Investigation also revealed that due to election crisis back then the hoodlums target was Hakeem Okoro and not his boys, it was also gathered that Okoro defected to the opposition weeks to the election and this may be the course of the attack on his boys.

In a recent time, the Attacks has been going on, where most lives have been lost in this regards, the Community leaders urged the Lagos state Police to intervene and provide the Security measures in safe guide the Lives And properties of the People in the Areas


The Ereko marketer's mind are not at rest as they were yet to know Hakeem Okoro's whereabout since that day, so the marketers are using this medium to call the attention of Lagos state government for adequate security as peoples life is at risk in Martins area of Idumota Lagos.

All efforts to speak with NURTW officials leaders in idumota unit proved abortive as at the time of filling this report .

The investigation is still going on to know the fact about his whereabout and to meet all the leaders and overall chairman of NURTW idumota unit, to give us more details on Hakeem Okoro.
