The canals and drainage in Lagos State needs serious attention. The canals in Surulere are blocked, especially the canal that links Adisa Basua street, Census market, Chief Natufe street, Orile Igamu etc

MOST Lagosians are dirty, they dump refuse into the drainage system and gutters!
How wont everywhere be flooded, if rain water cannot flow-away freely, into the Lagoon and Oceans?

But we have an agency that is supposed to be arresting all these dirty people that dump refuse into the drainage or dont we?
What have they been doing?
What are officials of Lagos State Public Health Service (WoleWole, as we call them) doing to arrest these offenders?
Go to most street in lagos now, you will see no less than half of the Road has been converted to shops,
People rent shops and then entend it by a factor of almost 200%, right into the middle of the road so much so that vehocles find it difficult to drive-by.
This not only endager the passers-by but also the children in the neighbourhood as they are all also forced to walk in the middle of the road!
What if vehicles driving by run into the Stalls erected in the middle of the road and kill someone, who do we blame?

These same Shops located right in themiddle of the road, just dump their Refuse into the gutters that is now concealed behind them, blocking the free flow of water.
What is the Lagos State Enviromental Sanitation Agency doing?
How come we pay the staff if these two organisations with tax payer's money yet we dont get any benefit from them because they dont do the work they are supposed to do? Why is everyone doing hush-hush and complaining about the flood?

It seems that Civil Servants are becoming a waste of tax-payer's money nowadays because they dont do their job anymore, either out of fear or out of having been compromised.
In the days of Fashola as Governor of Lagos State, you dare not put your wares on the road or throw refuse into the gutters/drainage, there would be some Green Uniform (Environmental) or Brown and Whte Uniform (Health Official) to arrest you and as such, people's behaviour became positively conditioned but Ex. Gov. Ambode rubbished all those gains with his elitist, foreign import, waste management strategy that was dead on arrival due to poor planning though not forgetting that he tried to stop the corruption instituted by Tinubu and enforced on Fashola.

Its time for the Enviromental Sanitation Corps and the Wole'Wole Health Officials to focus on those who dump refuse into the gutter/drainage system and those who extend their shops over the gutter and into the road, arrest them, impose fines or send them to jail, if they remain obstinate.
most of our flood problems will be solved, if we tackle this menace of refuse in street drainages and Shops over street gutters

Where is Gov. Sanwo-Olu in all these? Is he sleeping on duty or just waiting for instructions from the Oga in Bourdillon

I agree, the blame is on both sides, the state government and Lagosian.

Well, all these flooded areas are places where the people there dried up the river, seas, water pathways etc [s][/s]in a bid for selling lands and scavenging lands. am not surprised water fights back.
However, it is little Govt. can do for them but they need to take matters in their own hands too. by clearing all dirts and debris around them to ease water passage into the river nearby.

Ogun state is a slum
Lagos itself na biggest slum.
Nothing on ground when it comes to development in Lagos.
Potholes everywhere, poor drainage channels, bad roads, poor electricity, ill-equipped primary health centres except Bola Tinubu health centre at akowonjo
Nothing on ground to show the huge money Lagos generate monthly.
In this season of rainfall, visit places like bariga, oworonshoki, ikotu, ayobo, mafoluku, ajao estate, alaba area, ajangbadi, all ajah areas, mile 12, ikorodu, abulegba, LASU area, and many places you will have a re-think about Lagos.
Inner streets in Lagos are like villages. In fact Aba is even better than many places in Lagos.
No infrastructures in so called ikoyi except roads. The buildings you see there are owned by individuals and companies and they are not infrastructures built by government
Please
What's the name of your state of origin

This news makes me laugh. Lots of people buy land without having knowledge of the area and land condition. You go and buy land in dry season when the water table is high. Anybody familiar with Isheri would know it's a seasonal river. It's not the first time it's happening. It happens atleast once in 5years. Even in dry season that area is usually wet. Isheri is not supposed to have any buildings at all. It's a water channel. You didn't even ask why Julius Berger built a bridge that long on dry land instead of just leveling and continuing the road. Selfish and ignorant people. Avoid land in Isheri for your own good. That's why it's more of a cattle reading area.

Are you sure these are not old pictures? Because they said it was Ambode’s fault...
Surely, now that him and Visionscape has been thrown out, Lagos must be spot clean.
