*NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA STUDENTS JCC ONDO AXIS*

*OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN*

*OPEN LETTER TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT* *(MINISTRY OF WORKS AND HOUSING)*
*23-10-2019*

*AKURE-OWO-AKUNGBA ROAD A NEED FOR URGENT ACTION BY THE GOVERNMENT )*

Greetings to you from the apex students representative body in Ondo State.

We write to bring your notice to the deplorable state of all federal roads in Ondo state especially the *AKURE-OWO-AKUNGA ROAD*.

The poor state of this road(AKURE OWO,ONDO road) is no longer a news as the road is no longer motorable nor walkable due to the poor state of this road, students and other inhabitants of the state and beyond can not tread Akungba to Owo and Akure and vise versa.

We are aware this is a federal road and as such use this medium to draw the attention of *federal government(Mr Babatunde Fashola,Minister for works and housing)* to please come to our aide in Ondo state as a matter of urgency because all federal roads in Ondo state needs urgent reconstruction and rehabilitation where necessary.

We the Nigerian student in Ondo state are in no way happy with this development as it is a slap to our face that the road that links Futa, Rufus Giwa polytechnic and AAUA is in that sardonic state, which make it difficult for our students to move from their homes to school and vice versa.

We are appealing to all concerned quarters to set out to do the needful on this road because we have decided to shift our attention to the road and we won’t keep quiet until the needful is done.

We also call on Ondo state government to see to this and treat as a matter of urgency coming in any way they can to ease the movement of her dear people seeing to their welfare at large.

This part of infrastructure should be taken serious as our students cannot go to their campuses.
It must also be known that this also have a lot to do with the economy of this environment which in turn have to do with the state and federation at large.

It is on this note the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) Ondo axis call on the federal government to do the needful in no time.

We look forward to seeing men resume to this affected road and commence work as soon as possible.

Thanks

Signed:
