Michy Batshuayi has praised ‘cheeky’ Jorginho’s ball control after the Chelsea midfielder celebrated his teammate’s winning goal against Ajax in very bizarre fashion. The Blues gave one of their best performances under Frank Lampard to beat last season’s Champions League semi-finalists in Amsterdam on Wednesday night, with Batshuayi coming off the bench to net the decisive goal late on. Having spurned a gilt-edged chance earlier in the match, Batshuayi made no mistake the second time as he rifled fellow sub Christian Pulisic’s pull-back into the roof of the net.

In the celebrations that followed, Jorginho rather oddly congratulated Batshuayi by grabbing his nether regions, prompting hysterics from the Belgian striker.

After the match, he uploaded a clip of the incident and praised Jorginho’s ‘ball control’ before sending him a message on Instagram saying, ‘Can I have my balls back please?’

He also described the Italian as ‘cheeky’ on Twitter, with Jorginho known to be one of the biggest pranksters and clowns in the Chelsea dressing room.
