Do you notice that since the beginning of the border closure policy
1. Boko Haram attack has been reduced
2. Nigerian soldiers have been able to capture more boko haram members
3. Herdsmen issues has been relatively reduced
4. Srecurity issues has been improved generally
I suspect these are as a result of the bandits unable to smuggle weapons for their terror. How I wish thiz border is closed for years.
I just write this to make sense. Hope I'm making sense

I think we may not be able to but we can check our newspaper headlines and front pages, then we can to some extent agree with him

you are not making any sense

Fulani heardsmen and Boki haram has nothing to do with border closure rather it's a security issue dat needs to be tackled by the military, hence border closure is an economic issue affecting smugglers

I checked the numbers myself using foreign affairs website tracker. The border closure hasn't made any significant impact.

chart 1: civilian deaths
Chart 2: number of boko haram incidents

Interesting statistics.
Hope the first chart do not include road accident, fire incident but death as a result of banditry, armed robbery or any firearm.

Interesting figures
Not significant
Hope the death in chart one does not include death to accident, fire incident but strictly banditry, armed robbery or death as a result of any fire arm

Their methodology says otherwise. We wouldn't have to use them if NBS wasn't so inconsistent with releasing data. They didnt put crime stats for 2018 and dont have a release date on it. The dumb part is police will get up to say crime has went down without stating per capita stats.
