VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Training and Development Officer at NAHUM Africa NAHUM Africa is implementing Youth/Women Empowerment and Development initiatives in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria and Lagos state, targeting women and the teeming unemployed but enterprise oriented youth. With key objectives to reduce unemployment, build capacities, promote enterprise development, create jobs and provide the unemployed youth with employment opportunities through training programmes. We are recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below: Job Title: Training and Development officer Location: Lagos Job Type: Permanent Job Description We are looking for a passionate Training and Development officer who will support the Human Resource Department mainly with trainings, administration, documentation and database procedures for employees and business partners. We also expect the person to have leadership experience, researching skills and administrative experience. Key Responsibilities Organize trainings and workshops Coordinate trainings Maintain database of resource persons and trainees Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements. Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance. Assist in performance management processes Assist in recruitment and selection processes of prospective employees. Coordinate payroll administration Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems. Coordinate business summits and trainings. Support project implementation Qualifications, skills and competencies B.Sc. Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Economics or related disciplines. Minimum of a Second Class Degree (Upper Division). Candidate should not be more than 25 years old by 31st December, 2019. Must have NYSC discharge certificate. Should not have graduated for more than 5 years Experience working or volunteering for an NGO will be an added advantage Required Skills Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite. Proficiency in the use of SPSS and other social research packages Have a strong passion for development. Administrative and organizing skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Extremely energetic and able to work long hours Must be a good team player. Good corporate working skills. Pay attention to details and must be a fast learner.
