This boys are good individually but as a team nothing to write home about, during the Africa qualifier, they dorminated all through but lack finishing instinct. Same is playing out again in the world cup. They might go far but may not win the cup

Iheanacho's set remains the set closest to the 17ages. These guy average age can't be less than 20

The tournament just began, so don't be in a hurry. The team is still not sharp. I wish them well but I can stake my bet that this team won't get to the final.

I just noticed that this team looks like a typical APC government ... Only 2 Igbos and lots of Abokis in the team.. Let me sit for one corner and see how far they will get with this..

Laughing hard
I am disgusted sharing a country with your breed of humans. Look what hate and bigotry has done to you guys.

What a pity.

Two sides of your mouth. You didn't consider this before you jumped into conclusion that the team was selected based on your early submission.

My guy I'm proudly Igbo, and I'll admit I've had my fair share of tribal bashing on Yorubas (something I'm not even proud of, and have decided to stop for good... life is more important than petty tribal e- fights). I for one completely agrees with you on this. The idiots on here, (yes I mean my Igbo brothers and other jobless pieces of garbage) who are trying to hard too hard to ruin the beauty of a game we should all be celebrating... with their useless tribal conjectures need to GET A FUCCKING LIFE. Those kids are out on the field proudly bleeding the green white green, and bristling with the fierce innocence of patriotism, while we are here misbehaving as usual. When the likes of Ihenacho, Chukwueze, Orji Okonkwo, Ndidi, Chidera Ejike etc all products of our youth systems, Igbos, and are going on to make us proud in their respective careers and services to the nation... everybody regardless of tribe or religious affiliation celebrates them... why can't we do the same for other well meaning Nigerians making the nation proud? I can tolerate political or ethnic trash talk from both sides... but I won't have any idiot ruin the sport I've come to love so much, and indisputably is the one unifying factor/saving grace left in a divided nation called Nigeria, because of some idiotic cynicism or ethnic undertone... keep that sh*t in Politics section.

Nairaland and some online sites can mess up your mind if you are not careful. Sometimes, you just have to ignore the few mental retards who do not see good in other people and find it convenient trying to infect others with their negative minds.

Sadly we’d have to live with that. Outside of social media, we roll and socialise like families. Don’t let anyone infect your mind with negative energy. It’s not worth it.

Go to Innoson threads, they are all there. You’d also see such when super eagles were playing in the past.

Congrats to the Eaglets. These are young boys trying to make a career. They deserve our supports. I’m glad Manu Garba and his lads won. They fought and showed resilience. I wasn’t convinced with their performance during the African qualifying stages, I was apprehensive when they made some defensive errors especially the Hungarian second goal but the Eaglets fought back, displayed so much energies.
I think the Hungarians were jittery in the defence as well, they kept kicking the ball out of touch for throwing every time the Eaglets pressed but they looked dangerous going forward. I believe that most of them would be very successful in a few years.

Nigeria should build on his victory but let’s remember that the main aim of this tournament is to discover tomorrow’s stars.

If up to 3 boys from the set of Eaglets can blossom and play in the big leagues in about 6 years from now, that would be a huge huge success.
. I noticed three players that can play directly with super eagles. The like of Tijani , Amoo and Ubani can play top class football.

I may be wrong but Its obvious you started watching U-17 world from this edition for you to come to such conclusion!
Go and find out about the golden eaglets of 1993 and 1985!
I refer to this period because of the youthfulness of the squad then...they were so young yet they played like men!
Well organised and had everything!
Teamwork,Skills,gameplan,showboating...Name them...They had everything!

Have you watched the current U-17 Brazilian team?
Please stop defending mediocrity...we did not go with our best players!
They are just a bunch of individual players trying to impress foreign scouts from top clubs in Europe!
Wait until they meet a formidable opponent before you hastily conclude!

i concur with the bold letters, the coach was with sentiments( my opinion) in selecting his players.
Even if they won, it was just luck

It is now obvious you lack basic understanding however, I still maintain that the team was selected base on IM. If you know you know period

This jersey might disappoint at at time when it matters most. it is better for them to reconsider this jersey they are wearing. "A dog that will be lost will certainly not hear the whistle of the hunter''
