Question for all nairalanders,

Why does registering of a vehicle decline its value?

Why would you prefer a non registered vehicle to a registered one?

Your opinion is appreciated. Thanks.

@ femmy2010,

what i mean is this, 2 of the same type vehicle (yr/model) in the same container just cleared in lagos. One of the vehicle is registered after clearing and the other is left with US plates non reg. would you prefer the registered vehicle or the non registered one? shouldn't the registered one be of less headache to the buyer?

The assumption is that the registered one would have covered more mile on 9ja soil while any driver would not want to drive the unregistered one because of police wahala.
Secondly, buyers want to have the vehicle registered in their name.
Lastly, feels good to park an unregistered car in their compound as it is a kind of ego booster.lol.
