NUTAF is an annual festival organized by the Nigerian Universities Theatre Arts Students Association (NUTASA) in partnership with other Professional Performing Arts groups in Nigeria, such as SONTA and NANTAP.

The festival serves as a platform for university undergraduates to exhibit their creative talents in an intellectually stimulating environment under the guidance of tested academics and professionals in the Performing Arts in Nigeria. It functions as a bridge between theory and practice, and engenders constructive conversation of ideas between students, practitioners, and scholars in Nigerian universities.

Apart from drama production which was required of every university as a noncompetitive event, AE-FUNAI Theatre Arts delegates participated in a few competitive events like Spoken Words presented by Destiny Igwe, Dance and Traditional Instruments Ensemble where they emerged 2nd and 3rd positions for Dance and Spoken Words respectively. It was on record that AE-FUNAI Theatre Arts Department is the youngest among all the universities that participated in NUTAF whereas they won prizes before old universities.
