You are right about the future development in medical research. Distance or e-learning courses in anything clinical (apart from clinical management related courses) is at least for now not possible. Its best you enroll full or part time into an instituion. If you really have enough money for an e-learning degree, i bet you can afford going to the West to study.

Why dont you try the James Lind Institute. They offer some good courses in clinical research and i have heard a lot of good things about them. Here is the link to their website:
