It's quite tragic that a youth like you can't ask yourself questions...

All the Abacha loots... They shared to the masses.... Who and who collected it?

The money generated by customs... I'm talking billions daily.. Where is it going?

Crude oil sales?... Taxes?... Where

Why has Buhari borrowed more money in four years than others before him...

Buhari is the only president on earth who has spent more time away from his country while in office... Buhari cannot trust his life on any hospital in the country today before he knows his capability

They say zombies are walking dead people
I believe it wholeheartedly now

think dude think, Abacha's loot released was about $350m usd and second niger bridge cost about $3bn usd should buhari simply continue deprieving ibos a bridge until nigeria gets $3bn ? some of you people are clueless and ignorant

many foolish unexposed dunce dont understand how credit system works, technically speaking buhari borrowing to build kano, lagos, enugu , portharcourt airports isnt debt its investment because after completion he would simply concession it and make huge money, same way abuja - kaduna rail or lagos - abeokuta - ibadan rail line loan isnt a bad debt but a master class strategic investment, infact 2nd niger bridge would generate much more money during december rush than the money borrowed to build it

..

Lol, you don't know how concession is done.

Go and ask about MMA2

Forward thinking Americans would get mortgage loan to buy a house and loan to buy a car, they would also get contract phones on istallmental payments, while nigerians hustle painfully (rituals , yahoo yahoo, kidnaping) to build a house , buy a tokunbo car sold to him by americans and a used phone sold to him by uk, the difference is while a nigerian pays rent to his landord, and saves money to buy a car while spending on uber, land/ construction and a phone from his salary, an american already has a house, a car, a phone and simply services his loan monthly meaning no rent or landlord wahala, no squezing money and savings to buy chinco or used phone, and no spending on uber or savings to buy used car

if i was Buhari, i will simply stop travelling to solicit loans and finances for economic project of region who clearly dont need them, i will simply continue using FG's allocation from 2.3mbpd crude sale which oil companies take 40% and pays Nigeria 60% and out of the 60% Fg gets 53% and local government shares 47%.. let them have abandoned project like PDP days, let them have no functional airport, let thier youths go to ghana and south africa who borrows to fix thier country get insulted

..
Ofcourse,

but why all the huge Amount of borrowing? As Nigeria is a Vast Oil producing Nation, Supposedly.

In answering your question, there is one fact we have to get out of the way...and that is , the breakeven price of oil

In brief, every country has a breakeven price of oil...the price at which the country can earn a sufficent amount of money after the costs of bringing the oil out of the soil have been paid for.

In Nigeria's case, our breakeven is $139 per barrel. (It is that high because we also have a high population of 200million people). Oil has been falling since 2014. And even then, the last time we had oil that high was in 2008.

Oil now is $60.In essence, we are losing $80 for every barrel of oil we sell. Plus, oil production is affected by stealing of oil, and lack of investment. Hence, we have to borrow to stay afloat.

add to that our high recurrent expenditure
our budget is above our income
and we are still demanding increase in minimum wage

2.3m bpd for 200 million people isnt really vast, saudi's 11million barrels per day for less population is... out of what we make from 2.3m bpd oil companies take 40%, 13% goes to producing states, atleast 10% is cost of production and transport while the rest is shared between 700 plus local government, 37 states and FG

Debt service is not up to N3Tr. It is the only way to get infrastructure quickly and corruption free. The Chinese escrow the money and deliver. Any other way, Nigerians will steal all the money and deliver nothing.
Buhari has mapped Nigerian psychology. The people are weak, undisciplined, selfish, greedy, sentimental and cannot manage themselves out of a brown paper bag.
Better to borrow to do growth enhancing infrastructure NOW. Successive governments will enforce the taxation culture to pay the loans back. Meanwhile the economy would have grown so fast that we wont even feel it

The 17 trillion is accounted for;

Trillion in welfare to less privileged citizens ,

One of the best infrastructures in the world .

Best higher institutions.

Regular electricity .

Billion in sickle cell research.

Billions in medicine

Billions in cancer research.

Billions in defence, best in the world .

Biggest economy in the world.

Their currency is the reserve currency.

Debt is as a result of bonds sold as opposed to Nigeria's direct loan facility

Quality refineries as opposed to non.

Billions invested in renewable energy.

Less than 10% living below $ 1 a day .

Immigrants number one destination .

Life expectancy 82 years

Oga play in your league . Maybe Ghana Burundi, who pass you pass you . You can only upgrade or live in denial

MONEY WELL spent .

No. Just stop voting PDP or APC.

And stop wishing for something of N200000 with just N20 at hand.
