Importance of women empowerment

According to UN, economic empowerment of women includes women’s ability to participate equally in existing market. They have access to and control over productives resources, access to decent work, control over their own time, reduces the gap of inequality, and meaningful participation in economic decision-making at all level. When women are empowered and work it reduces poverty, boost productivity in all economic sector, ensure food security and even improve on the health of women.Unfortunately in Africa we still have a high rate of illiterate women/girls because of poverty, early marriage and early pregnancy, factors hindering their education . According to Quora women constitutes about 50% of the world population, a large number of them are unemployed, unskilled, and illiterate.

Your picture is one of the reasons your campaign is DOA.

Can we also see the rate of uneducated boys in same regions?

Could it be that they generally do not value education rather than an eloborate plan to keep girls uneducated?
