BuhariCarryGo:
Nigeria’s government is set to revive 10,000 primary healthcare centres in the country, the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, has said.
Mr Ehanire said this when some members of Association of Nigeria Health Journalists, ANHEJ, led by its President, Hassan Zaggi visited the minister in his office on Friday in Abuja.
He said the government was trying to create a balance to provide health facilities for all Nigerians, even those in the rural areas, villages, and difficult to access areas.
“That is the reason that we should not forget those people by creating at least one health centre in every political ward of the country; almost 10,000 primary health care to be revitalised.
“Many of them are already there because they are neglected, they are being revived and modernised and the standard expectation of a primary health care now is that it should have modern facilities and infrastructure.
“We also expect digital service so we can be able to take care of many of the diseases that occur. We do it in partnership with States and the Local Governments.
“The federal government has been teaming with the local government to create the network; our expectation is that 60 per cent of diseases in the country can be taken care by the Primary Health Cares,’’ he said.

The first question is do they have up to 10000 primary health care centers ?- if they say 500 or 1000 okay no problem, but 10000 where are they? It means in every local govt that is the 774 they have 13 primary health care centers

I just tire for all these lies and stealing in this country - ministry of health show us the 10000 centers, primary health care development agency, executive secretary -show us the centers ?

Ok, good one.
Presidency and entourage travelling expenses for the last 6 months is enough to fix more than 5,000 health centres . This people knows what to do via renovation and upgrading to world class health centres at least to some extent of having basic equipments. Same health centres that should be run by local government officials but how can they function when the autonomy of LGA is still on hold.

LGA Chairmen are the most irresponsible people on planet Earth.

Granting them autonomy will be the biggest mistake ever!

Good.

I see Rumueme Health Center, There is this health center at that Rumueme, just opposite Kala bus stop, they have this school they call Ameachi's school at the front of this health center.

Mehn! This particular health center has professional & friendly doctors & nurses. You go in their without any much money & get treated. Just only purchase of card/folder finish. They call you on the phone afterwards to check up on you. I was surprised & thrilled.

Obio Akpor lga in Rivers state has the best health centres nationwide.

Theie healthcentres will compete favorably with some specialist centres elsewhere.
I have used two and believe me they have top notch facilities and still Very cheap.

Amaechi did exttemely Well there.

The budgeted funds for it will likely be misappropriated.

You're even going far.

There's absolutely no money for such now. Let's not forget that salaries were just increased to 30k, we were almost borrowing to pay 18k.

Except Bill Gates and WHO steps in to rehabilitate 10000 centres....

Propaganda after election is wrong!
This government love to declare good things without action, I travelled by road from Lagos because of this type of propaganda, only to discovered that Nigeria roads are worse than what I saw in 2013.
Please Nigerian leaders should stop this nonsense and go and work things out. All Nigerian leaders from independent should be ashamed of themselves.
Their mates are handling over advanced countries, but shameless leaders are handling over under developed country because of their corruption.
This Minister is making noise and hippocrates are jumping, when a single centre is yet to be upgraded
Anyway I still have hope in this government.

Good development by the PMB who is always going to London for medical care after billions unexplained money to the Aso Rock clinic?
The thieving by Buhari and APC is record breaking.
Did you realise that primary health care is the responsibility of local government authorities?
Is Buhari too illiterate to understand that?

SOLUTION TO NIGERIA PROBLEM
The only solution to this country is to
1. Elect 6 Vice Presidents who will fully be in charge or control of their zone resources ,also manage the economy of their respective zones.
2. PAY 10% of the revenues to Abuja to manage independent structures like Military, INEC, Supreme Court, Federal Police and only Senate ( House of Representatives should be dissolved to the Zone under their respective Vice Presidents.

Do you have details of modalities for the renovation projects?

Are states and LGAs not supposed to create jobs for their people?

Are states and LGAs not benefiting from the Social Investment Program of the FG?
