Pls why is this Operation Iron Gate officers stopping people and searching their phones. This is happening more especially in the South East. Pls why is this so? Legit hustlers also being framed at times and beaten when they speak up. Nigeria is becoming so uncomfortable.

Pls can someone tell me about this operation wether it says search phones and also how do u approach gun welding people when such things occur?

Ive seen u severally defending this phone search here on Nairaland. So you’ll let police officers go through ur bank apps and statement of account and even take u to ATM telling u the want a proof

One was going through my chats last time and asked me why my kid brother sent me his account number. Like seriously?

dont blame the people who are trying to make sure that all people are law abiding citizen... blame the gazillions of Nigerian who are into fraudulent activities all over Nigeria! its THEIR fault that Nigeria is slipping into such state, not the police!

again, if you have nothing illegal in your phone, you wouldnt complain... everything you have in your whatsapp/FB/Insta etc etc is viewed by foreign gov anyway...the difference is that Nigeria dont have the technological means to do the same.

you must be mistaking me for someone else... that must be the 1st time i spoke on this issue (or 2nd).... but again, i have absolutely no problem with police ding their jobs, so long as it is within common sense (in a country where many are gladly indulging in yahoo yahoo internet fraud)
