Some of his acting was not too enjoyable. I didnt like it in Things Fall Apart..he didnt suit the role at all and I didnt like his "Phone", it sounded too affected

But later on I grew to enjoy his acting in those "diabolical" roles

These guys act several different roles in other movies. that they're popular for a particular genre according to you doesn't mean they don't act different roles. whereas Pete is pretty much doing the same thing every time. Pete edochie is a stereotyped actor.

Once you see him you know what he's going to be doing.

Kinda makes a person too comfortable. Plus he knows that he will always get roles as the Grandaddy of Nollywood.

I dont have to mention how Joke silver and Olu Jacobs bore me with all the accents. *eyeroll*


If anything I'd choose Chiwetel Agu and Patience ozokwor, Even Onyeka Onwenu.


But that's just me.

My favourite actor Leonardo DiCaprio is one man that can never be put in a box. Never. You never know what to expect with his movies. That's why he has played so many biographies and brought famous books to life.

I agree with you on Pete being typecast, and Leonardo being hard to figure. From lover boy in Titanic, to a con man in Catch Me If You Can, to a mercenary for hire in Blood Diamond to a crazy guy in Shutter Island. Dude is just a great actor not your typical typecasting usually done for Pete. In Pete's defence, his age leaves very little to type of roles he may get. He is the father figure and often chief or rich man. Lol.
