Social Media regulation bill would be given stronger backing

As long as the youths would not take positives and advantages of the Internet and social media, it would be a bone for serious contention for the Nigerian government to regulate the Social media.

Recall that there is currently a social media regulatory bill before the Nigerian senate to have people penalised for spreading of falsehood online and also any form of Hate Speech.

Reno Omokiri the one time Senior Assistant to Former President Goodluck Jonathan has constituted himself into a #BuhariTormentor. A post he bestowed on himself.

Reno Omokiri had promised to give #10,000 to social media users that retweeted his tweet in what he termed the #RenoMoni apparently mimicking the #TraderMoni Federal government Social investment scheme domiciled in the office of the Vice president of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

There had been media specualtions making the rounds lately that 35 aides from the office of the Vice President had been dropped further fueling suspicion of relationship between President Muhammadu Buhari and that of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.



There are speculations that the Cabal is seriously dealing with Professor Yemi Osinbajo and that would prompt Reno to Spring up this suprise challenge.

In the Challenge tagged #RenoMoni.

Listen, Governments all over the world want to clamp down on opposition. If Trump is in a country that isn't enmeshed in some form of thorough democracy, do you think he won't gag the media? Even in Germany, there is a social media bill to curb fake news.

It isn't a function of what reno or anyone says. The social media bill has been on for some years now. Do not also forget that this same party also utilised the same format whilst they were in opposition. At a time the former president, had to start attacking the print media.

As for Reno's health status, only a doctor can determine that.
