What's bad about that?

They use the Generator to energise voltage in the windings......it's used for Turn Ratio Tests with the aid of a megger. The tests help you ascertain the ratio of primary to secondary turns, tap changer performance, incorrect winding connections, shorted wire runs, etc.

There is nothing bad in it, how on earth do you think they carry out transformer tests on distribution transformers in our part of the world.

thats not a welder, cos that generator is too small for a welding machine(coil)
