Its match day 13, and one of the games we’ve picked out to cover is Leicester city vs. Arsenal

Leicester city vs Arsenal Match Preview
They’ve been on the form of their life, one of their best run since the 15/16 season they won the championship. They’ve won 7 of their last 8 matches, including that 9-0 thrashing of Southampton.

But tomorrow, their form would be putted to test when the Foxes welcomes Arsenal at the king power stadium.

They face an Arsenal side who have been in crisis in recent weeks. From the fans incident with Xhaka, to a string of poor performances; throwing away leads in important matches and the height of it all, calling for Emery’s resignation.

Arsenal are yet to win a match in their last 3 premier League matches, and are without victory In their last four games in all competition.

Popular opinion, suggest that this game might be emery’s last chance to please his employees, Should he fail to do that, he might be sent home.

Previous meetings

Far back in 15/16 title winning season for Leicester, Arsenal were the only team to defeat the foxes home and away. 5-3 at the king power stadium and2-1 at the emirates. A couple of lapses and lack of winning mentality costed Arsenal the league that season.

The odds are in Arsenal’s Favor as Leicester city has only defeated Arsenal once in their last 6 meeting. That defeat came in April this year. The foxes ran away with a 3-0 victory.

Apart from that, the last 5 encounters between the two have seen Arsenal winning 5, and settling for a draw once.

Team News

Leicester city

Leicester city manager, Brendan Rodgers in a press conference today has indicated that all his players are fit for tomorrows encounter. “Everyone is fit and fine he told city. A full squad, a wide range of selection available for tomorrow.

Arsenal

Arsenal on the other hand have just one injury concern, Dani ceballos. The Spaniard picked up a hamstring injury in their Europa league clash with Vitoria on Wednesday. Save from him, all others are fit and back in the squad.

Players to watch

Wilfred Ndidi

He has been the fulcrum of the foxes midfield, and in recent weeks he has been described as an incredible player by Brendan Rodgers. He said “He [Ndidi] is an incredible player. The offensive players get the credit but he does the dirty work,”

Ndidi has been a bit underrated this season ,but he can smell danger and somehow find himself there. Giving the nature of Arsenal’s attack this season with no creativity in the middle.

A player like Ndidi in the opposition’s midfield would be difficult for them to break.

Jaime Vardy

Vardy has been on Fire this season , scoring 5 goals in his last 3 games. He’s the first player in the league to hit a double figure for goals and is currently on top of the goal log.

He’s in fine form, and would most like likely trouble Arsenal sluggish defense with his pace. Vardy has scored a total of 8 goals against the gunners. They are a familiar opponent to him. Tomorrow he might extend the tally 10.

Leno

He has managed just 1 clean sheet this season and has conceded 15 goals, one of the highest in the league. But that figure is not a true representation of how good he has been.

He has saved close to 10 points for Arsenal this season in crucial moments. But most goals against him, are totally unpreventable or due to a defensive error.

Vardy is good, Leno is good. Who would come out the best tomorrow? Only time can tell

Mesut Ozil

The fans have been clamoring all season for Ozil to be added to the starting line up cause of his pedigree in creativity.

Unai eventually conceded to the pressure and when he was called upon, he didn’t fail to impress the crowd. A show of perfect beauty against Liverpool.

He was involved in 3 goals and gave an assist before he was taken off. It would be criminal for Emery not to start him tomorrow. And if he dose, we would love to see his best and line breaking passes
