A Concerned Nigerian man has called out Lagosians that refuse to use the pedestrian bridge while crossing highways.

This is coming after seeing the way people were crossing a very busy highway this early morning by waiting on the road verge and running like squirrels in order to beat incoming vehicles.

According to him, If motor jam their two left legs now what will they say?

Sad.

This further shows that there's something terribly wrong with our orientation. If the pedestrian bridge were not constructed and someone gets hit by a vehicle, people would protest against the government. People would scream at the top of their voices accusing the government of being insensitive. Thankfully, the government has thought it wise to construct pedestrian bridges for the SAFETY OF CITIZENS. But no, they won't use it. Why should they sef? When they can just cross a BUSY ROAD in a matter of seconds? Why should they stress themselves climbing those dirty stairs and walking all the way to the other side?

Most of these bridges are dirty. Our people litter indiscriminately. They defecate at every corner. Don't be surprised that you'd see human excreta all over that bridge.

Our government has failed us, no doubt. They are corrupt to the marrow, true. But the little they do is vandalized, abused, or unused.

What really is wrong with Nigerians? What do we want? Why are we so hypocritical? You cheat in an exam and go on to give thanks to God in church. You vandalize transformers at night and complain about the epileptic power supply in the day. You steal public funds in your office but contribute tires to burn someone accused of stealing at the market? You coerce your students into having sex with you for marks but with that same mouth you'd accuse Buhari of corruption?

Walahi, this is tiring.

It is a norm in Lagos, and it is a sad one for that matter.

I'm particularly saddened by those that cross the express road at Ojota when there are Two Pedestrian Bridges solely meant for their use.

Some times, they spend more minutes waiting for vehicles in order to cross the road, rather than use that same time to make use of the pedestrian bridge.

Nigeria is a one lawless place, large enough for everyone to do as they please not minding whether their actions pose a threat to their own lives.

Very sad

Way of life in Lagos. Even where there are pedestrian bridges, my people still prefer crossing the highway.

Besides, the bridges are bad, take the bridge at Ojota as an example.
