Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has assured the newly sworn-in Batch C, Stream 1 Corps members deployed to the state of adequate Security and Welfare throughout their stay in the state.

The governor made the assurance while speaking at the swearing-in of the Corps members in Pokistum area of the state.

Governor Buni promised to engage the youth in the governance of the state, stressing that corps members will be treated with care.

He added that his administration recognises the importance of youth and their abilities to bring a change and pragmatic policy and strategic roles in the development process.

He also assured that necessary appropriation will be provided to the corps members in other to sustain their gains.

The governor however urged the Corp members to surpass their predecessors by serving with dedication, commitment and humility.

He further urged them to integrate with their various host communities and participate actively in their developmental efforts.

The governor also confirmed that new orientation camp is under renovation by contractors, hence will be opened to Next batch coming into the states for their youth service.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 1,500 corps members were sworn in for the Batch C stream 1.

The state coordinator of NYSC in the state, Mrs. Grace Adzer disclosed this while speaking at the swearing exercise held at the Camp in Pokistunm area of the state.

Mrs Adzer however said the exercise is meant to groom youth graduates into great leaders, administrators and entrepreneurs in different strata of the society.

The NYSC coordinator however charged the newly sworn in corps members to carefully study the Service Guide given to them at the point of registration.

The state coordinator further advised the newly sworn in corps members to take advantage of the activities lined up in the orientation time-table so as to make their service to fatherland a memorable one.

She maintained that the activities are deliberately designed to equip the corps members on how best to face any challenges which may come up their way during their service in Yobe state.
