It was mind boggling and a challenging case in the late hours of yesterday, when a man was rushed by his coworkers to the Emergency Unit of FMC Owerri. The man fell from a storey building and landed with his neck, on a big sledge hammer, with the handle facing up. He sustained complete penetrating injury. The various teams of Doctors, the General Surgeons, the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the ENT surgeons, the Head and Neck Surgeons, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Anaesthesiologists, the able theater and A&E Nurses, and other health workers all rallied round and ensured emergency Surgery was done, and the patient's life save. To God be the glory!

Quack Nigerian doctors.. Simple procedures they find it difficult to carry out . The only thing they know is to be protesting for salary increment here and there. |
