Its a beautiful and truly fundamental development that GEJ has been endorsed by the UK. It marks a shift of tectonic proportions in Nigeria's power balance.
Go GEJ! Na you biko!

See this mumu  - GEJ was not endorsed by the U.K but by Mercenary called Tony Blair and his fee alone was about £250,000 at the detriment of the masses .  This so called visit was part of the Jonathan camp to manipulate masses and sell some fake endorsement.  I only wish that Nigerians will shine their eyes.    I cry for  my Country

I'm lost as to how you came to that conclusion. Really I am.
Nigerians should decide who should/will be the next president and not the blairs of the world.
I thought that was what the earlier post meant, no?

And if you think I don't know who becomrich is, think again. ok?

We have a real issues on our hands FBS, becos people in Washington DC and London have a stake in who sits on the "Hot Seat" at Aso Rock,

Can we agree on this, ?

I dont deny that Tony Blair is not a heavyweight  - I am only confirming that tony blair got paid around £250,000 to visit Nigeria-  and if it is visit from a government envoy view then he would not be paid   - I believe it is all part of the plan of Jonathans camp to get an edge over others aspirants and manipulate the Nigerian public like he is some kind of Messiah to fix Nigeria

As for the world leaders and the international community support to Jonathan in winning and retaining his position come 2011, it is a welcome idea but that of Jamie Dimon, the executive manager of JP Morgan Bank, meeeen, is Nigerian FUNDS save i still have my reservation
Re: 2011 - International Community Support Gej - Blair by ohaechesi(m): 4:55pm On Nov 18, 2010
i thing if the international community really want to help develop Nigeria as they claim , why not put up auto mobile companies and others in Nigeria rather than Jamie Dimon announcing his intention of having JP Morgan bank branch in Nigeria. We need modern technology in Nigeria in order to compete with western world not more financial institutes for now. i still want to believe that the western world do not have any good intention for Africa and we do not have to wait for them before can vegetate

Did you read the article at all?

ABUJA — Former British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, Wednesday, declared that world leaders and the international community were fully behind the re-emergence of President Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria’s next President come 2011.

Speaking during an audience with President Jonathan, the visiting Tony Blair  and the Chief Executive Officer of JP Morgan Bank of the United States (US), Mr Jamie Dimon, disclosed that it was the confidence of the international community on the ability of the Jonathan-led government that the famous JP Morgan Bank had decided to do business in the country.

According to Blair, there was a huge amount of goodwill in the international community towards supporting his President Jonathan’s efforts to achieve rapid socio-economic development in Nigeria.

He noted that the decision by JP Morgan, one of the world’s largest banks, to upgrade its representative office in Nigeria to a full-scale branch was a vote of confidence in Nigeria and the Jonathan administratio

It would be pretty bizarre for someone of Blair's experience to make these statements if an endorsement of GEJ's bid was not implied.

ok. i've already said this once on this thread but i'm going to say it AGAIN for you idiots at the back of the class. you can only judge a man by what he actually says and not what some brain dead, semi-illiterate bush journalist has come up with. so, for the second time, and without further ago, HERE is what Mr Blair actually said:

"Everyone including the international community are expressing great deal of interest, great deal of excitement for the elections and everyone is anxious for the elections to be conducted in the best possible way."

“I think all the preparations are there and there is a lot of expectations and home around Nigeria which is a great thing. Back in the west things are pretty difficult politically, difficult economically, there is a hugely enhanced interest in Africa and in Nigeria so everyone is kind of working and rating. There is a lot of hope and excitement."

That's it. Nothing more. Now tell me, where is the endorsement? he was simply talking about how the international community it hoping that GEJ can conduct free and fair elections. But yet you guys like to build clouds in the sky and then argue about it.

Seriously, no wonder this country has been raped and pillaged for the past 100 years. Its because the population is too dumb believing everything that is written and said.

Yam heads. And this is the second time I will say this!
Re: 2011 - International Community Support Gej - Blair by Chuks84(m): 6:05pm On Nov 18, 2010
Who is Tony Blair sef and what right does he have to tell us that the international community is behind Jonathan? Is he the international community? Some nitwits are even coming here to say Jonathan has been endorsed by the UK because Blair expressed his support. When are we going to free ourselves from the chains of the white man? Who gives a hoot what the international community thinks sef, their vote isn't going to affect the outcome of this election one bit, they have no idea what the normal Nigerian is going through.  Abeg, you guys should stop paying attention to all these sponsored publications and ask yourself if the GEJ administration has affected you negatively or positively, If GEJ has improved your standards of living. Therein lies your answer.

Gone are the days people live in oblivion, the world is now a global villiage and to get recorgnition in that space is something ONE should crave for!
I am fully behind GEJ as i suppose every Nigerian, that has substainable developement in mind, should.

Under 3 months in office, Obama spotted his good heart and had him over in the US, that is a land mark! if Mr Blair affirms that, why r some hating?

Since he came into office, PHCN power supply has been stable in my area. In less than a year in office! this is a miracle!!! i know that forces of good shall overcome the forces of evil that has thus far, has held us captives.

We shall overcome.

LONG LIVE NIGERIA
LONG LIVE GEJ
LONG LIVE DON LEGEND

This post is what is wrong with many Nigerians today. You will be laughed at if you said this in real life and let me tell u why:

1)you can "suppose" every nigerian is behind GEJ but you will be surely dissapointed when you come back down to reality and look at his ever slipping political power. Do you even read the news besides articles that are favourable to your own candidate?

2)Obama did not "spot his good heart". In fact Michelle Obama refuses to socialise with Patience Goodluck because of her money laundering activities and the U.S (especially the Obama administration) will not mingle with people who have fresh money laundering accusations against them. The Jonathan oil bunkering and Bayelsa treasury looting are also too fresh for it to be swept under the carpet.

3)PHCN has been stable in your area? You must be typing from the Presidential villa I assume, because no other part of nigeria has seen this miraclous stable power supply you talk about.

4)Tony Blair is not the prime minister of the UK and does not speak for the "international community". He was PAID to turn up as statesman do. Try getting David Cameron to "endorse" GEJ and see how far you get.

5)The old "evil" forces you talk about are supporting GEJ right now (OBJ cough cough), and lets not forget in his 150 days Jonathan has already wasted a big piece of the nigerian treasury, so don't sit there and tell us false tales when we've all heard about the 3 private jets, wasted independance day money, and looting that has gone on during his 150 days.

6)If you wish to endorse GEJ because you believe the UK is supporting him, perhaps you would like to address one of Obama's team visiting Ibrahim Babangida last year for discussions in Minna? Or Babangida's relationship with the english monarchy? You're naivety is blinding you my friend.

Sorry for the long post, but this topic is ridiculous and it boggles my mind that adults can still be so naive regarding the political landscape of the world. It's one of the main reasons Nigerians get into trouble, they believe every fantasy told to them by "their man" and become blinded until they realise their candidate has pulled the wool over their eyes, and they have no-one else to blame but themselves for not sitting back and thinking logically.
