I am a beginner in manual testing and all I have acquired so far has been through self development and few seminars. I am very much aware of ISTQB and ASTQB but I feel the need to learn more before i take the course so i do not waste my money.

For the main time, what short time course in software testing can i take locally? Also i am open for graduate internship with little or no pay in any organisation so far it is for a role of a QA engineer. Which companies do I target?

Note: I am a graduate of Physics and not Computer science but interested in a career in Software Testing.
