Security Agents arrest APC stalwarts with a huge sum of money and ballot papers at Opolo area of Yenegoa. The men of the Security agency on patrol at about 4am on the 16th of November 2019 arrested an APC stalwart with over 10million naira in his vehicle and some electoral materials not meant to be in his possession. It is presumed that the money was part of the money he has used to procure electoral materials and the balance was to induce voters but the long arm of the law caught up with him. The APC stalwart [name withheld] is now currently being interrogated by the Security Agencies.
The International Community, President Muhammadu Buhari, International, and local observers are further reminded and their attention is being drawn to the plan of APC to highjack materials, induce voters, disturb the election and intimidate voters with the military. Election isn’t by gun or machinery of any kind but by ballot, therefore the security agencies and INEC inclusive must make sure that this case isn’t swept under the rug like every other case, the culprit must be tried and brought to justice to serve as a perfect example to other vote riggers in the country.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Saturday raised the alarm over the hijacking of electoral materials in Bayelsa State as the governorship election kicked off.

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, Yekini Nabena alleged that thugs of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, hijacked electoral materials meant for Sagbama area of the state.

In a tweet on his official Twitter handle, Nabena also claimed that PDP thugs were shooting sporadically in the area.

“Material for Ward 3,4,7,9 and 11 have been hijacked to an unknown location by @OfficialPDPNig thugs at Sagbama. Sporadic shooting in the area as well by @OfficialPDPNig led thugs. @inecnigeria #BayelsaDecides,” he tweeted.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that with few hours to the governorship election in the state, fear, tension and anxiety have enveloped the state as residents are afraid of the unknown.

This is as a result of reports of violence and killings recorded in some parts of the state.

In Yenagoa, the state capital, reports show that some suspected political thugs dressed in military uniforms are allegedly distributing guns to young men for them to foment trouble during Saturday’s election.
