God used GEJ to destroy the PDP! The 60 years boast of Ogbulafor was their greatest undoing. APC is currently teaching the PDP the meaning of brutality in politics.
Whether you want to believe it or not the elevation of GEJ as Vice President was the greatest undoing of Olusegun Obasanjo. You don't bring a weak man into national politics, Pol 101. Most especially a man who have no interest in it. The Deputy Governor position should have been his last bustop, but Obasanjo thought otherwise and elevated him to Governor. The rest is now history.

Even what stopped him from implenting the SNC report. The money he spent with Dasuki should have been used to lobby the Senators and Rep members into pushing the SNC report into law. This country would have been better for good. Imagine if a Yar'adua had been in Good luck's shoes, he would have damned the consequences and acted like a man.

When Atiku Abubakar won the PDP primary and became Presidential candidate his voice and leadership became the authority for PDP rallies and events around the country. Atiku should now be the one leading PDP nationwide, not Jonathan. Jonathan's role should be limited to local politics and he is playing his role fine as a local man. Atiku and Obi are no where to be found. But when it gets closer to election they'll jump out from no where to grab ticket.
PDP giving their Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket's to decampees was a big blunder. Atiku was in the APC before rejoining the PDP and Obi was in APGA before joining the party.
How do you expect these two to rally round for the party. You can't give what you don't have. Do you expect an APGA Obi who practically killed the PDP in his state to die for party, or an Atiku who lacks party loyalty?
If PDP must get it's act right, it must begin to recognize her staunch party members who can go all out for the party. Members who can retrace the real manifesto of the founding fathers of the party. Members who can sit down and evaluate the past and the future, repositioning the party to meet conventional demands.
Anything lesser than this is a waste of effort.
