Criminality is a common denominator shared by both past and present Nigerian leaders. Some were investigated and indicted while some others like Umaru Musa Yardua, were never investigated directly and hence ,not indicted. It won't be nothing different if Tinubu continues the trend.

In the end, the enemies of Tinubu will end up asking him to run even if he has no intention to.

You leave your politicians and lust after a man greater than all of your politicians combine and even go as far as denigrate a man who is not responsible for the unfortunate situation of your state.

A lot of you will learn the hard way. Good thing my precious core has shown we don't play dumb regional politics.

The Yoruba ppl with love for agbero and criminals. As far as you can feed ppl with free amala ,they will worship you like god.

For an Igbo man to be successful, he must come and eat amala in Yoruba land. Otherwise, he would be wasting away in Alaigbo, drinking kerosene.

Look at those in this picture.

They are Igbo dregs and worthless scums who were deported from Lagos. The entire SE was in sorrow because they saw their parasitic attachment to the SW was going to be cut off and your fathers started crying.

You have to understand that it is not Tinubu himself they hate whether or not he supported them in the past.

Do not forget that they worked with Tinubu to deny Yoruba the Speaker that was hijacked by the North.

Their main problem is Tinubu in Lagos as Yoruba champion against Igbo takeover. Tinubu always give them a position in his cabinet even after he was no more a Governor. Did they reciprocate in the East?

You can never please Igbo. Awo love them so much, he offered Zik the Executive PM, he risked his life to campaign in the East and almost lost his life. They even love Akintola more than Awo.

Soyinka, Fajuyi, Banjo and Obasanjo that brought them out of dog a house and gave them strategic positions after the war were traitors.

So it is not Tinubu they hate as much because they will work with any devil to deny Yoruba. They voted for Obasanjo against Falaye, Yoruba interest.

Do not forget that they think Lagos is within reach the same way they dreamt about becoming Premier of Western Nigeria.

If Tinubu promises them Lagos as he worked with them to detail Yoruba Speaker, you will be surprised how fast they embrace him.

plaindealer:

The point is, why is it Tinubu that they hate so much? He's never been their governor, he didn't stealing 1 Kobo from them, you don't see Tinubu in their villages for any reason, you don't see Tinubu in their villages campaigning or asking them to vote this way or that way, you don't hear him say anything about ibo people even with all the venom and hatred they throw at him.

Tinubu hired, promoted and supported ibo people in his administration and even after leaving office, he made sure they elevate to the national level in even more powerful positions.

I don't know why they hate the man other than jealousy, hatred, bitterness, bigotry and tribalism.

Simple. Tinubu, bar non, is the most successful politician in Nigeria alive today in terms of what he has achieved over a broad spectrum from leading to helping others lead and changing the face of our politics for good by removing the very powerful PDP from office and defeating an incumbent President as a spectacular feat many said could never happen.

Naturally the Igbos hate Awolowo more than anything/anyone ever. Awolowo is dead but their torment continues because Tinubu reminds them of Awolowo. Same innate greatness, natural leadership aura and nous. Plus what seems to them the same undivided affection and respect Awolowo got from his people. Nothing would therefore destroy Igbos more than to think Tinubu, by leading Nigeria, may succeed where Awo failed.

They must therefore do all they can to stop this 'nightmare' ever becoming reality. Tinubu has upset them too much over time with his many victories which only serves to amplify to Igbo the reality of how they have no one in Ala Igbo fit to clean Jagaban's car tyre let alone his shoes. From clearing the thugs of PDP and OBJ to reform the SW and making "unelectable" Buhari two-term president, single-handedly making Osinbajo VP, ousting and disgracing Saraki, development of Lagos into the financial hub of Nigeria, making SW far more politically relevant than SE et al. The list goes on. If there is one thing you can count on with the Igbos, it is that they will always bring the hate.

Tinubu has won many victories, over time, against them(PMB and APC win) and their own( GEJ, Jimi Agbaje, Saraki et al) enough for them to hate him on the same level as Awolowo. He must therefore not be allowed the supreme victory that would really crush Igbo spirit worldwide. Expect more noise from our hateful brethren as they ignore their own needs or aspiration to make the next few years about "anyone but Tinubu". If you want to find out why Igbos hate anyone passionately and unforgivingly, look no further than the civil war. E.g Buhari, Adekunle or Tinubu they feel = Awolowo reincarnate.

Nobody can define who Yoruba choose as President except Yoruba. Let Igbo put all their bets on Tinubu for now.

The fact is there are many fine characters Yoruba can present for President.

Unbelievable responses. grin

There is just one thing about the OPs rather verbose write up that is relevant. It is a simple matter really. Did the APC leader forfeit any money to the US government at any time on the grounds of such money being the proceeds of narcotics trafficking or sales? Yes or no?

All the posts supporting the man have not addressed this question - and this question will NOT go away. There are similar questions too - the GCI matter for one. But this funds forfeiture matter is the real MVP. All the responses supporting the man did not address the question. Did he or didn't he?

The 2023 battle for the seat of the President, federal republic of Nigeria is definitely on, with various interests and persons across the country already justling for the number one seat. One of such persons is a frontline politician and the current leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alh Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Bola Tinubu is, by all standards, an astute politician who's political cunning, bravery, and sacrifice in the 2015 political calculations, led to the defeat of a sitting President and the constitution of the present APC led federal government.

As a Nigerian, Tinubu has the inalienable right to contest for the seat of the president, having shown capacity to rule and groom young persons. However, at a time Nigerians are almost desperate for a leader with integrity and political will to extricate the country from the extreme hardship experienced across the country, one would naturally get curious if making a former drug lord the president is a wise choice for Nigeria.

For most persons, this political icon is known only for his political prowess during his time as the governor of Lagos state, when he confronted the then president Olusegun Obasanjo and the duo had a standoff that lasted several years. Consequently, Tinubu was able to build the Internally Generated Revenue base of the state enough to sustain itself and carryout development.

What most people don't know about the leader of the APC is that he is a convicted drug peddler who had to forfeit a fortune to the United States of America on conviction of drug related charges and escaped prison through a plea bargain.

According our investigation, the United State's District Court, Eastern District of Illinois, Eastern Division ordered the forfeiture of funds belonging to Alh Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held in nine different accounts in First Heritage Bank, Citi Bank NA and Citi Bank Int'l, in a case docketed and dated October 5th, 1993 after he was convicted of Narcotics trafficking.

Part of the document titled Decree of Forfeiture as to funds held by Heritage Bank, the court posited that, "the United States filed a verified complaint for forfeiture against the funds in the above-captioned defendant's accounts because there was probable cause to believe that the property represented the proceeds of Narcotics Trafficking or was property involved in financial transaction in violation of U.S.C. SS 1956 and 1957 and was therefore forfeitable to the United States, pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 5……".

Our investigation reveal that, the Nigerian born Don Corleone, decidedly, forfeited his entire fortune held in nine accounts with these banks in a plea bargain in order to escape prison, just six years before he was elected the executive governor of Lagos state.

As a Nation, Nigeria celebrates persons with political cunning but equally abhors persons with questionable characters, knowing that bad habits die hard.

The question now is that, has this drug Lord repented from his past, changed his ways to become new creation to be trusted with political leadership of a country?

His exploits in the APC and previously as the Lagos state governor offer a clue.

Drug lords rule and control their territory with ferocious viciousness and cruelty typical only in the animal kingdom. They believe more in survival of the fittest and elimination of the weak and competition, and pay little interests in constituted authority.

As the Lagos state governor, Tinubu turned the 'No Man's Land' to his personal empire, grooming his Lieutenants, expanding his coast to other Western states and confronting any discordant voices with cruel proclivity.

It is this sense of ownership that shut Lagos state out of federal allocation for years during his time as the state governor. The same sense of ownership played out again in the last general election, leading to the desertion of then governor Ambode who the Don allegedly felt was not subservient and loyal enough to continue as state governor in his empire.

While some persons may argue that this manifest sense ownership inspires development, the Nigerian experience with this present and previous administrations shows that those who claim ownership of the system, either as cabal or any other form do so for their personal aggrandizement at the detriment of the generality of the people.

It is therefore imperative that Nigerians understand clearly the kind of President Bola Tinubu would be based on his antecedents as a convicted drug peddler, a dictatorial governor, a Don Corleone- like godfather of Lagos politics, and the leader of the APC.

Brother, all have been banned. They just unbanned this.

As for Tinubu, the North fears him because he's politically savvy such that they can't control him if he gets there. Look at how Tinubu made the AGF and the FG accept Amotekun in just 24 hours. The North are not likely to support anyone they can't control and in 2023, they would want to support someone they can control.

The way out is for Tinubu to activate bridges he's been building. For instance, I won't be surprised if a Tambuwal supports Tinubu cos Tinubu have Tambuwal Apc ticket in 2015. Also, a Boss Mustapha was made by Tinubu. Tinubu has reasonable spread in the North and needs to work on his acceptance in the North.

The problem Tinubu would have are the Fayemis, the Amosuns and their gang. However, his major albatross is may be religion. He he needs a northern Christian VP and

Unfortunately for the North, Tinubu is very popular in the SW, hence they may decide to support a Northern PDP candidate in 2023 and abandon Tinubu. The SE would vote PDP cos they don't have a choice anyway. If that happens, the SW would go back to regional opposition. You may think this is not possible, but that is exactly why all FG projects in the SW are being hurried up so that they can be completed before 2023. Worst case scenario, we have trillions of Naira of completed projects.
