The 2019 Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE) Basin Evaluation competition (BEC) will hold today Monday, the 18th of November 2019 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Five (5) Universities in Nigeria had earlier emerged successful at the preliminary stages of the competition and are set to take part in today's’ battle for the top BEC prize. The 5 Universities are:
- Akwa-Ibom State University (AKSU),
- University of Lagos (UNILAG),
- Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU),
- University of Nigeria (UNN), and
- Crawford University (CU).

Major Oil and Gas industry players such as Shell Petroleum Development Company, Seplat Petroleum, Shahara Oil & Gas, Total Oil Producing, Exxon Mobil Corporation, Chevron, Eroton and Halliburton are all partners in the NAPE 2019 Conference and are eager to see the University that will come out top in the BEC.....
