Victim of the group assault in FUTA, Boluwatife Adekunle, recently spoke with Sahara reporters and narrated what led to the assault. Recall some few days ago, a video showing a group of student of the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, beating up a 100 level student went viral. The victim narrated to Sahara reporters how the whole incidence came to be. According to her, she was assaulted by her colleagues for revealing how one of their boyfriends tried to have an affair with her.
The victim’s mother, Mrs Florence Adekunle, speaking on the issue says all she wants is justice for her daughter. According to her, “I was in the church on Sunday when her brother called me that they saw Boluwatife in a video and she was beaten up. I can’t imagine how friends would treat a fellow student like this.
