The Senate on Wednesday reintroduce a bill to regulate the use of social media by Nigerians and it had scaled the second reading. The Bill which is tagged: “A Bill for an Act to make provisions for the protection from internet falsehood and manipulations and for related matters, 2019,” was sponsored by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East. In his word, Musa, said the social media should be curbed because it has caused lots of fake stories and news and hence, it must be stoped.
