23 Tricks To Drive Traffic To Your Blog In Minutes - Webdotsng by webdotsng: 8:48am On Nov 21, 2019
Now that you have your blog up and running, your ultimate goal is to have as many visitors as possible before you can start monetizing your blog. Yes! Visitors you can convert into advertising clicks, affiliate referrals, and product/service buyers depending on your blog monetization strategy.

Before you start to drive traffic to your blog, you need to check everything you have done to launch your blog i.e. setting up your blog, creating pages and posts to ensure it’s ready.

Start by testing your menu bar and sidebar links to confirm that pages and posts open correctly.
Test your blog on different browsers (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer) and see if it displays well.
Test all your contact forms to see if it works well. Also check your blog comment form to make sure people can leave comments.
Test your social sharing buttons.
Give your visitors more ways to connect with you like email subscription inline or popups forms, browser push notifications etc
Set up Google Analytics to track your visitors, where they arrived from and top pages on your blog.

Here are 23 popular techniques you can use:
#1 Create at least four keyword posts per day.

Most of the top blogs (with literally tens of thousands of visitors per day) publish an average of 30 small 100-150 word posts per day.

#2 Tell friends and family about your new blog
You can do this by telling them in person or sending them a mail. You can also host a “blog lunch party”. Also once you write your first article, ask your close friends to share it online. Imagine if you ask 30 friends to help you share it on social media with their connections, you will slowly start drive traffic to your blog.

#3 Include your blog address in your email signature
There is high probabilty that people you contact via email can check it out your blog. You can achieve this by using a tool called WISESTAMP.

#4 Use blog promotion networks.
This is where you see people who love to help each other promote their blog posts. They include Social Buzz Club, Viral Content
Bee, and many others.

#5 Start first by opening a free Facebook and twitter account for your blog. Assuming the name of the blog is abcd.com; then register a free FB account page looking like this: www.facebook.com/abcd

Another step to take is to open a free Facebook group. With a Facebook page, you can grow your your audience/followers/likes by placing Advert on Facebook and you must try to have nothing less than 500,000 likes/followers.

With a Facebook group, you are not going to use FB Ads to grow it, but by sharing it with friends and families and recommending it.

So, from experience, make sure you have both to drive massive traffic to your blog. Also go to twitter, open a free account and then grow the followers. Always share your posts on these two platforms.

#6 Implement web browser push technology on your blog.

When your visitor subscribes and agrees to receive notifications, you can send them push notifications from your blog anytime you publish a new article. Onesignal is a good plugin that can help you implement push notification.

#7 Translate your blog content to other languages.
Translating your blog content to different languages expands your audience reach and can give you incredible traffic.

#8.) Add utility tools to you blog
Here you can create a page and add simple javascript tools like calculator, email extractor/verifier that help people solve simple tasks. This will not only serve as useful tools to your readers but also attract new traffic

#9 Build a professional profile and brand on Quora
Here you get immediate exposure to over 1.5 million monthly visitors, and add links to your blog posts and articles as resources in your answers.

#10 Improve your blog speed
Google considers loading time as an important factor in ranking blogs. Research shows that 47% of readers now expect a page to load in 2 seconds. Some visitors will disappear before your site even has chance to load. They simply give up.
You can improve your blog load time by reducing the number of installed plugins and also using cache plugins

#11 Create post titles that grab attention before hitting “publish”
Having a catchy title is the key to grabbing people’s attention. It’s your secret to increased traffic and wider audience.
For example, you are writing a blog post about starting a website, instead of using “Creating A Website” as the title, you should write “How To Start A Website in 3 Easy Steps” or “How To Start A Website in Less Than 20 Minutes” instead.

Also, you can always use a headline analyzer like CoSchedule. Once you are done writing the post, copy and paste your headline into the free tool. Once you punch in a headline, the tool assigns it a “Headline Score”. It also gives your headline a grade based on the overall structure, grammar and readability.

#12 Republish your old content.
Find older articles that still get some number of traffic and check if the content can be updated. Once you do that publish it with the new date and share it with your audience.

#13 Convert your articles to PDF format.
Convert your articles into PDFs and offer them as a download through signup forms. That way you can grow your subscriber’s list. You can convert your articles to PDF using tools like PrintFriendly

#14 Write an eBook.
After you blog for some time, you could consider writing an eBook. It’s not always fun to write a 30-40 page document, but it could give you positive benefits.
Create a high-value, concise ebook and make it available for free, no strings attached (don’t even ask for an email). Now, share that ebook everywhere you can and encourage readers to share it as well, be sure to include a bio inside the ebook.

#15 Place social share buttons in your content
Start by installing a social sharing plugin like Easy Social Share Buttons on your blog. Place the sharing buttons at the top of your content, at the bottom of your content, or on the side, as a floating widget. This gives your readers the ability to share your content on different social media platforms which will in-turn drive traffic to you blog

#16 Use Content Upgrade to grow your email list, traffic and conversion
If you would like to grow your email list 10X faster, then Content Upgrade lead magnet is the best way to go. A content upgrade is a lead magnet (or opt-in bribe) created specifically for a particular blog post or page. It supplements specific content … like an ebook, Cheatsheet, Checklist, Whitepaper,Infographics, Guides, Case Studies, Slides, Reports or even printables like templates, design files or planners. Use it to target users with content they’ve already shown interest in, thereby increasing the the likelihood they will opt in for more.

#17 Publish your content on LinkedIn
Share your content on LinkedIn. If you dont have a LinkedIn profile, you can do it by opening your LinkedIn profile and clicking “Write an article” button.

#18 Use hashtags & Twitter cards to reach more people.
Hashtags could be a single word or a combination of any words. For example, #blogging, #ilovefoodblog, #mytraveladventure, etc. if you know popular hashtags in your niche, you can use them to expand your tweet reach. You can also use Twitter search function to find what’s happening right now and what’re the trends.

Also with Twitter Cards, you can attach photos, videos, and media experiences to Tweets, helping to drive traffic to your website.

To make your content SEO-friendly, you will have to pay attention to on-page factors. Use keywords in title, description, and H1 tags. Also use SEO-friendly URLs by changing your permalinks settings to “Post Name”. Always interlink your content between each other in each post. This does not only increase traffic but helps search engines understand your site structure better.
