Foundation embarks Medical tour in Bayelsa to support patients

A non-governmental Organization based in Bayelsa State, HRM Lady Evelyn Foundation, HRMLEF is embarking on a tour to medical facilities across the state to provide support for patients and to ameliorate their suffering while undergoing treatment.

The Foundation led by the founder, Her Royal Majesty, Lady Evelyn Balogun visited the Federal Medical Centre and the Diette Koki Memorial Hospital in Yenagoa where she personally paid off outstanding bills of patients.

Speaking with the Nolly TV Africa news crew, she said this is part of the core mandates of the foundation to reach out to patients in hospital and to share with them in their pain to aid a speedy recovery.

Lady Evelyn noted that the medical outreach will not begin and end in hospitals but orphanages existing in the state, that it will be extended to all part of the state in order to give patients a sense of belonging.

She noted that the tour will be a one-week event that will centre on donating medical equipments where necessary as well as pay off bills of patients that cannot afford it.

Lady Evelyn said any persons that needs surgerical operation and cannot afford it, the foundation will take up such cases and ensure whatever medical attention needed by the patient will be provided.

She explained that HRMLEF as a humanitarian focuses on the health of people living in the rural community adding that the foundation will not rest until diseases and sickness are eradicated for people to be healthy to carry out their daily routine.

Those who accompanied Lady Evelyn to give out the donations to different patients to take care of themselves and pay for their hospital bills include Hon. Ato Alfreder E among others.
