My fellow nairalanders, pls I need your advice with this. My son just turned two and I am so confused as to what meals he should be given as he looks too skinny. He eats whatever we take for dinner but breakfast and lunch is either golden morn, cornflakes, pap or indomie. What do I do to make it more nutritional for him and which other preparation can I make for him. Someone adviced irish potato with carrots and green beans mashed which I av added to his diet. Will greatly appreciate your contributions. Thanks. |

Oatmeal is good, add that to his menu. When making the oatmeal add raw egg to it and let it get done well. This can be used as B,L, or D. Cook carrot, green peas, cabbage, blend everthing together this is v.good. cook beans, blend, and give him. He can eat pretty much everything you eat but turn into paste. |

in addition, agege bread, ewa agoyin [serious]. Oatmeal, like the previous poster suggested. You can add raisins or shredded fruit to it. |

@OP: The things you mentioned for lunch and dinner aren't particularly healthy for a 2 year old, especially the Indomie. Things such as Indomie should be eaten in moderation since they tend to have a lot of sodium in it. When I was two years old, my mom fed me a lot of fruits vegetables, grains, legumes, and nuts. Use this food pyramid as a guideline when you feed him.
