Hope he also paid pensioners during his tenure and also cleared their gratuities? If NO, he has no moral justification to request as such. Selfish politicians everywhere |

Yari is a very stupid person on this earth! Pls help me ask him(Yari) this question. Is he(Yari) pay any Pensioner when he was in office for bad 8 years? The most useless Ex-Governor. |

dominique: Sad case of the country, but he's not it alone in it. Afterall, no less than 15 former govs are in the senate who, in addition to the unpardonably obscene legislators' pay are further milking thier respective states through hefty seven digit pensions. As they will tell you "the law allows it". Need I add that many of these states are struggling to pay 18k (not even the 30k oooo) as min wage. Honestly I'm tired. . . ![]() 1 Like |

mmb: Greedy ex-governor. They were busy complaining that they do not have the money to pay minimun wage. But they have money to feather their nest. |
Re: Yari Writes Governor Matawalle On Non-Payment Of His Pension by wink2015(m): 4:05pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
nely4me: This is enough indictment against ex-governor Yari for using a letter headed paper in a non existing office. He could be charge for forgery and attempting to portray himself as an authority. The office of governor cease to exist with his handing over to another governor. There is nothing like Office of the former governor. It is not in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. The defunct state assembly that establish pension for the governor are also a fraud. Was that in their manifesto when they were campaigning for votes from the electorate prior to their occupying that public office? Serap should write ex-governor Yari and caution him. 2 Likes |

The former governor is a greedy man, he allocated much money to himself but can't pay civil servants minimum wage. |

This is just outrageous. How can a former Governor be receiving #10m as upkeep including an equivalent of his salary as a Governor. This also applies to his deputy, former speaker and former deputy speaker.. I seriously weep for this country. I wonder what the President is doing saying he is cutting down the cost of governance. If all former Governors, their deputies and former speakers and deputies of all the 36 states are going home with this amount of money then we shouldn't expect meaningful developments in Nigeria. 1 Like |

globemoney: Oh not just that! He ensured that the SHOA passed the bill that would secure his future financially and the of his deputy, speaker and speakers deputy. The man spent most of his tenure in Abuja while people in the state were lamenting of abject poverty and poor infrastructures. The man is a serving senator. What it translates to is that while receiving his monthly salary as a serving senator, he's fighting for additional over 10 million in the name of pension and allowances. If you look at Zamfara state, many retired persons have not received pensions and gratuities. Shamelessly this man ensured that after his tenure he would collect same. Look at the letter head. It reads "Office of the former governor". Is that a joke or what? So former governors have offices too? It is a shame that this country has found itself with such leaders. Greediness, wickedness and foolishness everywhere. 1 Like |

It's ironical that majority of folks who are here complaining have the same law existing in their state but will rather look elsewhere...Everyone should tackle the rot in their respective state. |
