plaindealer: Are you aware of the mode of financing for the construction of these airport terminals? The ones for Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja and Kano were funded via a loan from China! The National Assembly didn’t want to include the one for Enugu (for whatever reason) so the then minster of Aviation, now Senator Oduah, sought alternative source of funds for the terminal at Enugu, and it was fully paid for by the time the GEJ admin’ left office in 2015! All the terminals Buhari and Hadi-Sirika met at advanced stages of works have been completed bar one: AIIA Enugu! The Enugu terminal hasn’t been touched since Buhari was sworn in 2015, and is now just an empty, derelict shell! Hadi-Sirika even got more funds approved by the legislature to increase the scope of work at the other 4 terminals. Again AIIA, Enugu wasn’t included! 6 Likes |

[s] IGBOSON1:[/s] Yes, they collect loans and left all their projects in advanced stages of completion, but after 16 years, nothing meaningful was built or commissioned and the ones they commissioned were trash that ordinary rain blew off like chicken cage. 2nd NB was also commissioned at an advanced stage on the drawing board for 16 years., bur now started and set to be completed in less than 4 years Lagos Ibadan railway was abandoned on the drawing board wor 12 years, now started and almost completed in less than 3 years Lagos Ibadan express was completed on the drawing board after several contract awards for 16 years. Warri Itakpe railway was abandoned for 30 years, now completed in less than 3 years. When I said that Buhari's government didn't mean well for both the south south and south east, some people thought it was a joke. Starting from road infrastructure to international airport, all are going north. Watch out for sea ports too. Oh! Less I forget, their railway is working already. But yet other regions are receiving only promises...we will...we will. And we are shouting one Nigeria. One Nigeria my foot. This kind of divide and rule system can never work in this country. One sided development is not and can never be a development. A family that has only one rich person among other members in the family is not yet rich and that family is still poor.
