At least 20 people were feared dead after a boat carrying hundreds of migrants to Europe capsized in stormy seas near the Italian island of Lampedusa, according to reports. Following the accident on Saturday, 149 migrants have been rescued, including 13 women and three children, but dozens were still missing, the Italian coastguard said in a statement. Five bodies, all female, were recovered on Sunday by Italian officials. According to an initial reconstruction of events, the boat was carrying more than 160 people and had departed from Libya the previous day, taking advantage of a break in the bad weather. https://zenithnaija.com/many-feared-dead-as-boat-capsizes-in-mediterranean-sea/ Cc: lalasticlala dominique Mynd44

Kenturkey048: the above ones you are talking about, are the lucky few africans that would be used as SLAVES in tomato fields etc while being paid peanuts. dont ever believe they treat Syrians like Nigerians, Senegalese or Ivorians. here, educate yourelf: https://www.rnz.co.nz/programmes/the-detail/story/2018716901/the-shocking-story-of-what-happens-to-refugees-in-italy |

Gerrard59: because of the war in Syria, any person with his Syrian pass/ID claiming refugee status would be given the red carpet treatment... as for our NIgerian/Cameroon/Ivorian/Senegalese brothas, the would be either sent to work for mafia in farms or sent back after being refused refugee status. few years ago, they would accept anyone but today, all Europeans countries are fed up, refusing them and closing their doors because they cant cope. so now, they are trying to stop them from the desert (Niger precisely). Italians themselves are fed up, because if/when a refugee manages to enter Europe and bleeps up anywhere in Europe, they can be sent back to the country where they entered the EU (aka Italy), so Italy has been getting all the Europeans rejects for years. EU is suppose to be borderless but France border with Italy is now well guarded and checking whoever is coming through |

Kenturkey048: bro this issue is serious... the ones that even manage to get to Libyan beach are the lucky ones. the unlucky ones are raped and raped and sold to prostitution ring to be abused and depraved of their dignity....and it all start from Niger refugee camps to Libya refugee camps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7lCbzHGnBQ 1 Like |

Gerrard59: bro , its very painful to watch... especially the people that would claim that they'd rather die than go back to Nigeria/Ivory Coast. as it is well documented, all this is all down to foreign governments war in Libya, who are not washing their hands about this issue. sadly, there are some deluded brothas and sistas who still will be trying today to go to Europe via this hell hole called Libya. 1 Like |
