Of course, of course, but you can't discount that Rema has been working hard for a while. Many people will be unknowns without the right backing, but I doubt Don Jazzy just picks random people off the street with no talent or music background.

Even Reekado "started recording his first set of songs in 2008." (wiki). This is 6 years before signing to Mavin. Same with Tiwa, Dr. Sid. All of them were dreaming and working on their music for years before they were "discovered"
