Two nuns belonging to different orders in Sicily both traveled to Africa for missionary work but went back to Italy pregnant. One of the women, aged 34 didn’t know she was pregnant until she started experiencing stomach ache and went to the doctor. She has been transferred to a different order in Palermo and may leave monastic life to raise the child. The other woman who is mother superior had left her home country to Madagascar after she was discovered to be one month pregnant.
