From the majority negative comments here, obvious Nigerians don't know how to be normal anymore. They just respond to poverty and tribalism that has made them haters only capable of negativity and bitterness. Firstly, Akeredolu's child is an adult whose special day is not and should never be under the control of her dad or his political office. It is the lady and her groom, and them alone, who must choose where they want their most special day to take place. Akeredolu has no say. Period. Should Akeredolu insist on their honeymoon destination as well since he is dealing with two toddlers not allowed to make their own choices? Why don't they honeymoon in Ondo State government house just to please intrusive, unreasonable and frustrated Nigerians?

Secondly, the groom is King in the household. This may be his choice that the wife is respecting. She cannot be disrespectful of what her husband-to-be wants just to please bloodthirsty Nigerians who are never happy whatever others do. Is it Governor Akeredolu marrying or his daughter and a man Akeredolu cannot and must not try to control over choices related to his special day? Does the groom have no say because he is marrying the daughter of a politician? These are two young adults who are allowed to plan their special day according to what they want and not to please anyone (Nigerians) or anything (political office).

Thirdly, how many normal families have weddings in Barbados, London et al without a word said? Must politicians use everything, including the private lives and private choices of their independent adult children, to please hateful Nigerians who cant separates a man's office from his family and private life?

i want to ask you this question, if the dad was not a governor would he have subscribed spending millions flying guests to mauritius for a wedding ceremony?
between 100 and 150 m spent for a day's event.
