I activated the WhatsApp 2-step verification sometime ago since I do hear people complain that their WhatsApp got hacked. After that I observed that each time I opened my WhatsApp, a box appeared requesting that I input my 2-step verification code. Currently, I open my WhatsApp without seeing any requests to input that code, what's wrong? Has someone tempered with it? Is someone monitoring my messages? LilMissFavvy:it is a pin used when you want to register your phone number on WhatsApp e.g on another device or even the same device again, maybe it was a bug when it required it every time or replaced it with the fingerprint and now works only for the main purpose. 2 Likes |

LilMissFavvy: It's not a bug and your 2 step verification works just fine, it only requests the pin at intervals just so you get used to the password and not forget it. Your WhatsApp is perfectly fine 2 Likes |
