It has become crystal clear that vocational skills are gradually fading away. Hence interactions and reawakening the consciousness of parents and their wards becomes inevitable given the present circumstance and what the future holds for our teaming youths. This initiative and program of ours reaches beyond the typical confines of just obtaining good grades and acquiring university education.

Today, the frontier of production technology are widening: new skills, knowledge and experience are called for to meet the needs of individual growth.

Theories and insufficient practicals taught in the universities are not necessarily what employers need.
There is general emphasis on formal schooling which is viewed as a vehicle for facilitating modernization of the social structures conducive to economic growth – we are determined to change the perception and narrative as much as we can.

Empirical studies revealed that over time the trainees who acquired vocational training ( either as apprentice or technical and commercial college grandaunts ) but where not able to further their education, do establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs in lucrative businesses, like poultry farming; auto dealers, cash cropping such as coffee, tea, cocoa, timber processing etc. with limited financial support.

Our goal is to provide the required linkages lacking in the general educational program as presently constituted in Nigeria today. –
Provide adequate opportunities to all categories of persons especially youths( rich, poor, urban, rural, male and female) to acquire skills

Provide opportunities for the individual to develop his/her capacity to the best of his or her interest and aspirations

Reduce mismatches between skills, available jobs, aspirations and qualifications of individuals

Satisfy the need (to acquire skill) of individuals concerned.

Within these broad parameters, our vocational training system should prepare youth for gainful employment or to be self-relied and self-employed. We have strategized to among other things:-

-Enhance the employability of individuals by augmenting the productivity of technical/vocational employees through provision of needed skills.
- Guide youth to available occupation to improve human resource base
- Protect and enhance income
- Encourage parents to enroll their wards into technical and vocational colleges
-To acquire new skills amongst others.
