President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Recruitment Of 400,000 Police Officers Ahead Of Community Policing Implementation, the Presidency has said.

The report was announced via the twitter account of Lauretta Onochie, an aide to the President on Social Media.

According to her, "Police Affairs Ministry is overseeing the Community Policing Policy, the Public Security Trust Fund, & Recruitment of 400,000 officers nationwide".

And why does the president see the need to employ 400,000 policemen. This is preposterous. Was this their game plan when they bragged about creating ten million jobs we're yet to witness since five years.


This is irresponsible. A nation of 135,000 police officers since he came suddenly wants 400,000 more persons despite consistently increasing the recruitment yearly since assumption of office.


Why can't this administration spare us more drama and be more creative for goodness sakes.
