hello nairalanders, i wonder if anyone in the house can help out as i keep topping up my 97 camry's power steering fluid frequently which was not the case before. can i have ideas as to the problem and solution pls. thanks.

Check the power steering pressure hose for leakage. Its always the culprit. Have someone start the car and turn the steering while you are at the engine bay. You will noticed drops of fluid from the hose. But if no leakage there, check the steering rack & ram, it wouldnt pass these 3 components of the power steering. The power steering pump hardly leaks fluid.

Like i earlier noted, the power steering pressure hose is likely the cause of the problem you are encountering. It shouldnt cost much to fix, at N3,500. should fix it for you. Goodluck.
