VICE-CHANCELLOR RECEIVES BOARD MEMBERS OF PHYSICS WRITERS SERIES CREATION
The Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, recently received Board Members of Physics Writers Series Creation, PWSC, formerly known as (Nigerian Universities Physics Writers Series), who paid him courtesy call as part of the activities marking their meeting of Thursday, 28th and the 73rd General Meeting of the Creation, hosted at AE-FUNAI on Friday, 29TH November, 2019.

Welcoming the guests, Prof Sunday Elom, who represented the Vice-Chancellor at the event, stated that the university will always support the body in its quest for the writing of physics text books for students at all levels. University Officers present at the reception, include Prof. O.N. Omaka, Dean, Faculty of Science and Prof. Micheal U. Onuu of Physics Department. Prof. Onuu, who introduced the President of the association, Emeritus Prof. P.N. Okeke, noted that all secondary school science students should have read physics texts written by Emeritus Prof. P.N. Okeke.

The President then introduced other principal members of the visiting team, who were Prof. J.O. Ebeniro of University of Porthacourt (UNIPORT), Prof. Magnus Igbokwe of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), and Dr J.A Obu of University of Calabar (UNICAL) amongst others.

Emeritus Prof. Okeke informed the Vice-Chancellor of the huge success of the Board Meeting held the previous day, adding that member Universities were already in AE-FUNAI for the 73rd General Meeting, held at the University Main Auditorium. He thanked the University Management for the warm reception accorded them.

Highlight of the visit was presentation of some books written by the Association and new editions of popular Secondary School Physics texts authored by Emeritus Prof .P.N. Okeke.

Prof. Elom appreciated the Board Members for choosing AE-FUNAI for their meeting. The meeting ended with the election of new executives who are Emeritus Prof. P.N .Okeke, as President, Prof. Michael Onuu, Vice-President, Prof. Magnus Igboekwe, Secretary, Prof. Paul Asogwa, of University of Nigeria (UNN), Financial Secretary and Prof. Jemima N. Ogwo of Abia State University (ABSU), Treasurer.
