Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Wednesday Presents year 2020 draft budget proposal of N176b to the State House of Assembly.

This was made known to journalist by the Chief Press Secretary to the State government.

The year 2020 budget of 176 billion was in sharp contrast with the 158 billion naira budget for 2019. The difference was a whooping addition of 18 billion naira.

They tagged it "The Budget of Prosperity".

This year’s ‘Budget of Prosperity’ of N176b when compared with the N158,172,060,971 Revised Budget for year 2019 represents an increase of N17,951,030,960 or 10.19%

The governor who was represented by his deputy, Edward Onoja stated that the draft 2020 Revenue and Expenditure Estimates i.e, the proposed 2020 Budget, has an estimated outlay of N176,123,091,931.

This total budget outlay of N176,123,091,931 is divided into Recurrent Expenditure of N78,969,128,737 representing 44.84% and Capital Expenditure of N97,153,963,194 representing 55.16%.
