Dangote's World's Largest Single Train Crude Distillation Column Arrives Nigeria

World's largest single train crude distillation column (otherwise called atmospheric tower) has arrived in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that Sinopec China had on July 29 announced the departure of the atmospheric tower from a wharf in Ningbo to Nigeria.

The magnificent engineering masterpiece is expected to be used by Dangote Refinery as the primary unit to process crude oil into fuels.

Announcing the arrival of the world's largest single train crude distillation column in Nigeria, Dangote Group said: "World's largest single train crude distillation column berths at Dangote Oil Refinery.

"This magnificent engineering masterpiece weighs 2250 MT (excluding internal trays); 112.5 m long; 14m wide and 13.75m tall and can fractionally distill 650,000 barrels per stream daily."

The masterpiece was specially built for the world’s biggest single train facility, Dangote Refinery in Lagos.
