Nicholas Igbokwe, a lecturer of the department of physical and health education, at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state was on Saturday morning, December 7, found dead in his office.


Vanguard reports that the spokesperson for the institution, Abiodun Olarenwaju, who also confirmed the death of the lecturer, said the deceased’s body had been transferred to the mortuary.


The death of the lecturer came as a shock to the institution as he was reported to be in good health at faculty on Saturday morning shortly before his demise.


“ It’s a pity we lost him. Nobody expected that. He was brought into the hospital this morning dead," the spokesperson for the institution said.
“He was a gentleman to the core, he was a very dutiful man who really knew his onus, his demise sincerely came as a rude shock to all of us.
