I've read Falana's press release, it's expected as the defense lawyer.
I remember in El Zakzaky's case when Falana said his client is almost going blind due to a medical condition that needs an urgent treatment.
Zakzaky was eventually flown to India where attempts for his escape to an Arab country was made unsuccessfully.
El finally got tired of his tricks and said he prefers Nigeria's medical abi DSS treatment to that of India. He was brought back.
Everyone has been quiet on the matter since.
Nobody remembers how DSS was abused over a character with penchant for extreme religiosity capable of causing national insecurity, and Falana hasn't apologized for misleading the public over the true condition of his client's health. We moved on as usual.

So for me, on the Sowore matter esp regarding the courtroom saga, neither the DSS nor Falana should be trusted to say the whole truth. They'll only choose to recount the part of the story that favours them.

This is when we need the press most, where investigative journalists take time to interview eyewitnesses randomly chosen to get the entire picture and report same, objectively.

By now, we ought to read WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN THE HIGH COURT.
But no, newspapers are lazily lifting speeches from both parties to report, leaving the helpless public to fill in the void and figure out what is the truth while accusations and counter-accusations continue.

It's sad.
