Mr. Hilary Amodu has been fired.
Hilary Amodu the Administrator of Idah, a local government in Kogi east, has been relieved of his appointment.

Inside sources said, he is been punished for failing to deliver his local government for gov. in the just concluded gubernatorial election.
It is on record that almost all the voters in Idah local government rejected the N5000 bribe offered to them by vote buyers.

They voted overwhelmingly for the PDP candidate and kept a vigil at the INEC office in the headquarter of Igala land to ensure that their votes counted.

Last week, governor Bello sacked all his appointees in a bid to shake up his cabinet.

The news was contained in press release by the Chief Press Secretary to gov. Bello, Mr. Onogwu Muhammed.

It reads:

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has approved the immediate removal of Hon Hillary Amodu as the Administrator of Idah Local Government Area.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Ayoade Folashade Arike, the Governor also approved the appointment of Hon Abu Odoma as the new Administrator of Idah Local Government Area.

According to the statement, Hon Hillary Amodu is directed to hand over all Government properties in his possession, and also submit an official handover note to the new Administrator.

Hon Abu Odoma, until this appointment was Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on political affairs (Idah Federal Constituency).
